Selections from the Mary and Michael Tatalovich Collection
Michael and Mary Tatalovich's gift of 80 large-scale American prints affirmed the museum’s focus on works on paper. Their first gift in 1997 of the print Leg by Jasper Johns marked the beginning of a partnership that has included an exhibition, From Warhol to Bartlett in 1998 and subsequent gifts and loans to augment other projects undertaken by the museum. This postwar collection includes many exemplary works by seminal Pop and Minimal artists, alongside exciting works by newer artists.

Description:Opened in 1984 on the Marquette University campus, The Haggerty Museum of Art features an impressive permanent collection of over 4,500 global pieces of art reflecting a variety of artistic mediums from periods ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary. Located just west of downtown Milwaukee, the museum regularly offers exhibitions showing cultural diversity and art influenced by modern technology.
Since the museum’s inception, its goals of being an integral part of the educational experiences offered at Marquette University, providing a rich variety of art to the Milwaukee community, with visibility on a national and international level, have remained constant. As a university museum, the Haggerty sponsors lectures, symposia, workshops, and tours to interpret the arts to its various audiences.
Open Monday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
