Accessibility: The Schauer Arts Center is a very accessible building for people with disabilities. We have
assisted listening devices for patrons who request them and accessible
wheelchair seating on our main floor and balcony. Payphones, water fountains and restrooms are accessible. An elevator provides access to the second floor.

Description: The Schauer Center is a comprehensive arts complex located near downtown Hartford, sharing the west end of the automotive museum property. Opened in 2001, the Schauer Center boasts the 574-seat Ruth A. Knoll Theater, the Suckow Family Art Gallery and other spaces. The Schauer Center is a private, nonprofit corporation that depends heavily upon volunteers and charitable contributions.
