From the time I was a child, I have found great satisfaction and a personal need to translate the many images that confront and make a visual impression on me. In recent years, due in part to the technical knowledge and control of the medium of watercolor that I learned from classes at the Peninsula Art School in Fish Creek, Wis., happily I have found the means and opportunity to do this.
Every watercolor painting I do presents for me a healthy, exciting and totally absorbing challenge to express what it is I wish to say. When I complete a piece to my satisfaction and I find that my piece also speaks to others who see and identify with my work, it is doubly rewarding for me, because I have found a friend.
