UW-Milwaukee's Design Research Institute: Director of Research and Design
The Peck School of the Arts, one of the largest and most comprehensive arts schools in the region, invites applications for the first Director of Research and Design for its new Design Research Institute. Working with the Executive Director of the Design Research Institute and the Dean of the Peck School of the Arts, the new Director will help to establish an outstanding design research program that fosters innovative, creative research through collaborative, multi-disciplinary projects with university departments, non-profit organizations, and the business community in areas such as industrial design, engineering, architecture, business, fresh water sciences, education, human experience, interactivity and informatics to name a few.
This is a 100% faculty position at the rank of full, associate or assistant professor in the Department of Art and Design. The faculty member is also expected to teach in their areas of expertise. Teaching load, summer appointment, and salary to be negotiated.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
