Wisconsin Humanities Council: Call for Board Members
The Wisconsin Humanities Council seeks enthusiastic individuals to advance the Council's work. The WHC governing board has 25 members from around the state who serve a maximum of two three-year terms. New members are chosen on the basis of their experience, diversity and commitment to the public humanities.
Established in 1972 as an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Wisconsin Humanities Council is supported by federal, state and private funds. Through its own programs and through grants to other organizations, the WHC supports and creates programs that use history, culture, and discussion to strengthen community life for everyone in Wisconsin.
Nominations should reach the WHC office by October 1, 2012.
