In an article reprinted from the fall 2005 issue of Wisconsin Academy Review, writer John Pederson profiles Mary Celley, a Wisconsin beekeeper known as "The Bee Charmer." Pederson is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism.
Passionate about her profession, Celley first became interested in bees at the tender age of four. She went on to earn an entomology degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently tends her bee colony at her home near Brooklyn, Wis. She sells her honey at the Dane County Farmers Market.
