Artist statement
My photographs are both very personal and very public. I possess a tremendous passion for photographing the beauty of the earth and the sky. Every day, people pass by art without seeing it. Whether provided by nature, humans, animals or a collision of their forces, art is present for the finding. Few get to experience that art from above. What I do is capture those precious images as artistic aerial photography.

I am unaware of any exact definition for so-called fine art photography, but for me the term implies a photograph that is collectible, has paid meticulous attention to the quality of the image and has printed the image on an archival medium for prolonged longevity. By these criteria my prints certainly qualify as such. Of course any art is in the eye of the beholder.

Aerial photography gives me a way to connect to this world--a world with places of beauty, places of wonder, places that make me want to drink them in deeply--and to share them with others. I’m in love with the natural world, with the diversity in all its shapes and forms. I capture what I interpret as a revelation of nature reveled to me at that moment in time. Although all moments are fleeting, the challenge is to remember that your eyes are the lens to your mind and you must be ready to accept what nature is offering in order to capture the perfect aerial photograph.

Biography
Lifelong resident of Oshkosh Wisconsin.
Interested in photography as a lifelong passion and have concentrated on aerial photography for the past 3 years.
Aerial images of Wisconsin cities and landscapes.
