Artist statement
Move through the outdoors, in the woods, alongside a stream. Climb a rock face. What do you see and feel? So much is present in a chaos of form and spirit that it's difficult to pause and catch the fleeting essence, which is what I attempt with photography, a sort of freeze-frame order not really there.
Biography
A longtime Wisconsin resident, I began photography very young with a box camera, taking photographs of everything whether it moved or stood still. I soon found nature and landscapes the most interesting and have since pursued these with increasing passion while a number of other careers have come and gone. More recently I've had a number of shows in the Madison area.
