Artist statement
My art is meant to tell stories and speak for people who have been forgotten or who the world just doesn't see or hear. I work exclusively in graphite--the lines, the shades and the shadows are meant to come together and express what words cannot express.
Biography
I am a self-taught artist from Southeastern Wisconsin. My husband and I travel quite frequently, and I photograph the people who interest me-some of the photographs become rather large drawings. My work has recently been on exhibit at Jack Richeson in Appleton--both in the gallery and the show catalog--as well as the Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP) show.
