Artist statement
I paint to immerse myself in the beauty and perfection of nature. I want to remember my relationship to nature as a whole and to the individual plants I have grown and admired. Each painting starts with and an idea of something special or an emotional attachment to the subject. Photographs are taken and combined to form a pleasing composition. As I work, the painting and I evolve and the paint itself participates in the dance of creation.
