Artist statement
I am a watercolor artist. I have been painting and exhibiting my paintings over the past 49 years. I have exhibited my work in many Art Fairs, Museums and Galleries. Having grown up on a farm, my subject has always been rural Wisconsin. My early works focused on changes of rural Wisconsin and farm life. My recent work deals primarily with images of nature. Climate change has created an urgency in exploring and promoting the preservation of our environment. I have always been a colorist with my paintings. I enhance my images to draw the viewer in or capture their attention. I hope to create an awareness that we all share a responsibility in preserving or natural environment.
