Artist statement
The ancient Greeks saw the entire universe as alive, the planets and stars as the gods made manifest.
My work harmonizes this ancient philosophy with a modern view of the cosmic symbols. I explore the profound meaning of the celestial imagery by combining their astronomical, mythical and spiritual significance through fantasy and mystery. These synergies create not only a fascinating topic open to
endless discovery, but also a thesis to connect the ancient world with our
modern one. The ancients saw the correspondences between heaven and earth;
my work strives for a modern experience of the harmony, diversity and beauty
of this relationship.
