Artist statement
Each of my YOUNG AT HEART fiber-sculpted figures are individually designed and created by me. Through the use of color, unique textures, fibers, crystals and stones, it is my hope to bring a bit of joy, happiness and a sense of fun and fantasy into this world. It is my goal, as an artist, that whoever buys or sees my creations will get in touch with the "young at heart" within! Each of my creations has their own unique charm and personality, which comes from their individually needle sculpted/handpainted faces on silk fabric, their unique fabrics, and fibers. Each one is truly one-of-a-kind!
Biography
For the past seven years, with no formal training in art or design, I have been designing and creating my one-of-a-kind, 3-D fiber sculpted fantasy figures. Each piece is my own original design starting with the body style, faces, hairdos, accents and poses. Their bodies are created entirely of quality fabrics/fibers, and through the use of inner wire armatures, I am able to give them their enchanting poses.
