Artist statement
Alchemist Woodworks produces a wide range of custom wood products. My specialty is furniture in the Prairie/Frank Lloyd Wright style, but I also fabricate custom casework, including kitchen cabinetry and home entertainment units and reproduction funiture and millwork in a variety of styles.

High quality, traditional joinery methods and materials are the hallmark of my work. Client input is readily incorporated into my custom designs and offers the opportunity for individuals and businesses to tailor the work to their specific needs, rather than settling for standardized, factory-produced approximations. My extensive experience in the Frank Lloyd Wright interest field--and practiced eye for form and proportion--insure aethetically pleasing results, regardless of your preference for style. Careful attention to detail throughout the design/fabrication/finish processes produce results far superior to mass-produced items. Low overhead and reasonable shop rates bring this level of quality within the reach of average budgets, and over a decade worth of successful project competions and a long list of satisfied customers are indicative of my committment to client satisfaction.

Biography
I established Alchemist Woodworks in 1991, after working for a number of years in the furniture restoration and building trades. Since then I have competed a wide range of furniture and cabinetry projects for a broad spectrum of clients. Years of experience as a docent at Taliesin, coupled with my innate talent for design, have led to a wide range of commissions throughout the architectural realm.
