Artist statement
I'm up at 3:00 a.m., working on my art work, until it's time to go to work. I take my time and concentrate on it. I think about all kinds of birds, rabbits and people while I'm drawing. I work with tagboard posters, draw with pens and color with markers.
I started drawing because it was too hard to find a job, and when you're all alone it gives me something to do.
I've worked at Felly's Flowers since 1980. One day they gave me the wrong pots, but they didn't believe me. Then they found out they were the wrong pots and we had to take out all the flowers and put them in the right pots. I get plants free from Felly's because I'm a good worker there.
