Artist statement
I've long been intrigued with the intimacy that I create between my camera and nature. My passion is discovering a secluded spot or a common place and capturing that location in its glory of light, color and shapes. By making these images available, I hope that I can help us to better appreciate the incredible natural environment that is available to all, but increasingly threatened. Each of my images evokes something special for me and, I hope, also for you.
Biography
Tim Mulholland's formal training is in the environmental sciences and he now uses this knowledge along with his long-practiced passion and feeling for photography to capture images that most of us may not see. In addition to his environmental sciences background, he studied music when he was younger, helping to cultivate his artistic side along with his technical aspects. Together, he uses all of his skills and feeling to create landscapes, nature images and portraits that are simple, elegant and extremely appealing. Mulholland's images have appeared in Madison in several venues; Lake Forest, Ill.;, and numerous homes in the U.S. and Europe; as well as numerous publications.
