Artist statement
My art is born in the subconscious. Images which flash at light speed through the brain during that idyllic moment between daily reality and sleep. I process each painting in my mind completely, down to the last brush stroke. Rearranging composition, inserting hues and deleting distractions so when it comes time to physically create, there are no questions, just art.
Biography
Born in Baraboo in 1960, I studied art at UW-Baraboo and UW-Stevens Point. Then, as life takes its turns, so did my education, but never my passion for the creation of art. Mainly self-taught and through 25 years of trial and error, I have come to this point in my career as an artist. I have exhibited in numerous shows over the years and have work in private collections throughout the country.
