Artist statement
Over the years I have done a lot of landscape photography, although I like to shoot
whatever looks diverse or sublime. I like to take pictures because the images created are a way for me to show other people a unique environment or composition. I use my equipment, my background and perspective to accent my images. I also do freelance work, product photography, portraits, weddings and photography of artwork. I use 35 mm, medium format, and 4x5 inch cameras and the computer to work with.
Biography
I have been taking photographs since the early eighties while attending junior college at the College of Southern Idaho somewhere in southern Idaho. I continued shooting and printing while serving four active years in the U.S. Navy, visiting various ports in the North and South Pacific and Indian Ocean. I continued shooting through three more years of college at Boise State University, getting a bachelor's degree in photography and painting. I've worked in two professional photo labs in Idaho and Washington and two photography studios, including my own studio located in Green Bay since 1995. I have been shooting and printing mostly landscape, color and b/w photographs over the past 20 years. In the last year or so I have put together a collection of 30 to 50 of my best prints that are available for personal purchase or display in galleries, museums or other venues.
