Friends of Lorine Niedecker
Wisconsin's poet Lorine Niedecker lived most of her life along the banks of the Rock River, near Fort Atkinson. She is described as a "poet of place." Among poets and critics her reputation has soared since her death. "No one says so much with so few words," British poet Basil Bunting said. "Dickinson is good much of the time, but Niedecker is good all of the time."
